Stand your ground!!

….Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand (Ephesians 6:13) As a true believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, it is not easy to stand your ground in the current society we live in today. The Word of God says that the world will not love us and that there will be even a time that our own family and loved ones will abandon us because of Christ (Matthew 10:21). You will not face any of this if you live a modest Christian life, a life where people might not even recognize that you are a believer because you flow with the standards of this world. Since one wants to be accepted and belong there is a tendency to compromise and hide away his or her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. As a believer you need to be prepared to be an outcast of society. The Word of God tells us that although we are in the world, we are not of the world. Because we are born again, we are a new creation belonging to heaven.

Be encouraged not to compromise your faith. Live your life to the max for God. Be a worthy ambassador for Christ in this world where perversion and ungodliness are the norm. The Word of God tells us that in the last days people will be lovers of themselves and will indulge themselves in ungodliness and immorality (2 Timothy 3:1-5). Therefore, do not seek for the approval of man, but rather from Christ. Stand firm in your faith and you will be saved.
